On 27 February the first meeting of BRICS Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors under Russia’s BRICS Chairship in 2024 took place in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

BRICS Ministers of Finance and Central Bank Governors will meet on 27 February 2024 in Sao Paulo on the sidelines of the G20 ministerial meeting. This will mark the first in-person meeting of BRICS financial officials attended by representatives of countries that became full BRICS members on 1 January 2024.

Moscow will host its first energy event as part of Russia’s BRICS Chairship in 2024, the first meeting of the BRICS Committee of Senior Energy Officials, on 26–27 February. The Roscongress Foundation manages the events of Russia’s BRICS Chairship.

Representatives of BRICS central banks and financial market regulators took part in the first meeting of the BRICS Rapid Information Security Channel (BRISC).

The hotline staff of BRICS crisis management centres conducted training on the rapid exchange of information in times of emergency on instructions of Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations Head Alexander Kurenkov as part of Russia’s Chairship of BRICS in 2024.

The BRICS Working Group on Nuclear Medicine held its first meeting on 13 February 2024 on the sidelines of the 2nd Future Technologies Forum in Moscow. The Roscongress Foundation manages the events of Russia’s BRICS Chairship and the Future Technologies Forum.
