Press Centre

BRICS Summit press centre is a modern, interactive venue offering a comfortable working environment for the media. It is located in pavilion А3 of the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre. BRICS Summit accredited media representatives, representatives of media partners, and employees of the host broadcaster may access the press centre. A badge is required for entry, and can be collected from the accreditation points.

Work stations for media representatives

Capacity: 300 seats

Purpose

A work area for media representatives that is equipped with 50 work stations, as well as 250 places where you can connect your own equipment. Work stations are not personally assigned (to a media representative or media organization).

In addition to the work area, the BRICS Summit venue has briefing rooms, as well as an interview room and a press point so that media representatives can work as comfortably as possible.

The press centre features information and services points where you will find information on access to Summit events, changes to the programme, services offered and other information, in both Russian and English. In the event of any technical difficulties with press centre equipment or your own personal equipment, please contact our Technical Support Service.

Wi-Fi

Free Wi-Fi Internet access will be provided throughout the press centre.



International Broadcasting Centre

The International Broadcasting Centre (IBC) has been set up at the Summit venue to cover the BRICS Summit events. It is located in pavilion A3 (Kazan Expo IEC, cluster A). Media representatives accredited for the BRICS Summit and who have received a badge at one of the accreditation points can work at the IBC.

The signal of the international TV programme is generated by the broadcasting company VGTRK, the host broadcaster of the Summit, from live broadcast and video recording signals. The signal is then distributed to the working booths of television and radio companies.

The IBC includes:

  • Host broadcaster complex
  • TV and radio company zone (working booths)

The infrastructure of the IBC includes a site for mobile satellite communication stations (fly-away position).

The following international video signal format is offered for distribution to booths:

  • HD/SDI 1080i/50 with embedded audio.
