p>Moscow hosted a roundtable ‘Prospects for BRICS Cooperation in the Study, Development, and Sustainable Use of Mineral Resources’ on 15–17 July.
The heads of BRICS geological services and high-ranking officials attended the event in person and online. The delegates discussed the development of the mineral resource base in BRICS countries and ways to harmonize the national classifications of mineral resources, capacity building, presented the expertise of geological services and scientific and technical developments in the digitalization of geology, and outlined prospects for cooperation.
The Russian side presented the BRICS Geological Platform initiative for cooperation in geological exploration, research, and other areas of joint activities.
The Roscongress Foundation manages the events of Russia’s BRICS Chairship.
