The third meeting of the BRICS Working Group on New and Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Efficiency took place in Kemerovo on 2–3 July 2024.
The meeting was attended by experts on traditional energy, hydrogen and CCUS technologies, as well as renewable energy from BRICS countries. The meeting primarily focused on prospects for cooperation on such issues as smart power supply networks, digitalization and artificial intelligence, synthetic fuels and green energy, solar panels, wind energy, and biofuels.
The participants also paid special attention to such issues as professional training and the mobility of scientists and proposed creating a special journal for joint publications.
The Roscongress Foundation manages the events of Russia’s BRICS chairship.
