The first meeting of the BRICS Working Group on Agriculture took place on 16–17 April via videoconference.

The Russian delegation introduced the other participants to the agricultural priorities of its BRICS Chairship: ensuring food security, developing trade, and ensuring sustainable agricultural production. Existing BRICS initiatives were presented during the meeting of the working group, including the creation of a platform for trading grain.

The Roscongress Foundation manages the events of Russia’s BRICS Chairship.

The BRICS Working Group on Agriculture held its first meeting via videoconference on 16–17 April

Кick-off meeting of BRICS agricultural cooperation working group was held online

On 5 March the virtual kick-off meeting of the BRICS Agricultural Cooperation Working Group was held online. This is the first meeting on the agricultural track within the Russian BRICS Chairship in 2024. The meeting was headed by Maxim Markovich, Director of the Department for International Cooperation and Agricultural Export Development of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
