Meeting of the Heads of BRICS Tax Administrations

The Heads of BRICS Tax Authorities held a meeting in Moscow on 26 September.

At the meeting, a Framework Agreement was signed to establish the BRICS Tax Authorities Forum, which will replace annual meetings of experts and heads of tax authorities with the regular work of working groups. The document creates a structure to manage the BRICS tax agenda and systematizes the mechanism for cooperation among BRICS members.

The meeting participants also discussed the possibility of creating a permanent secretariat of the BRICS tax authorities. Based on a proposal from Russia, working groups were established in key areas of tax administration.

The Roscongress Foundation manages the events of Russia’s BRICS chairship.
