St. Petersburg hosted the Meeting of BRICS Ministers for Women’s Affairs on 20 September as part of the Fourth Eurasian Women’s Forum.
The main theme of the event was the empowerment of women and ensuring gender equality as a sustainable development goal. The meeting participants exchanged their experience in supporting women’s leadership and enhancing women’s role in governance, and also discussed goals related to women’s empowerment in BRICS countries, as well as the development and strengthening of women’s potential at the global, regional, and national levels.
The Roscongress Foundation manages the events of Russia’s BRICS chairship.
