The 10th BRICS Environment Ministers Meeting took place in Nizhny Novgorod on 28 June 2024.
Participants in the events discussed the BRICS Partnership for Urban Environment Sustainability Initiative, the implementation of the BRICS Clean Rivers programme, and the role of the younger generation in solving environmental problems. Separate sessions were devoted to the development of forestry and adapting to climate change. The creation of a BRICS Environmental Youth Network was also discussed. A final joint statement was adopted at the end of the meeting.
