BRICS Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors met in Moscow on 11 October.

Participants discussed customs and tax co-operation, mixed infrastructure financing, the development of new payment and settlement instruments, and co-operation on insurance and between stock exchanges.

The meeting wrapped up with the preparation of a report on improving the international monetary and financial system, a joint statement by the Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors, the launch of the BRICS Finance Research Network, and the signing of a memorandum of understanding between research institutes.

The Roscongress Foundation manages the events of Russia’s BRICS chairship.
