Kazan hosted the BRICS Sports Games on 12–23 June
Delegations from 82 countries took part in 27 types of sports: 2,852 athletes competed for 387 sets of medals. The top three included teams from Russia, Belarus and China.
The games included a meeting of the BRICS ministers of sport, at which they adopted a joint statement, underscoring the need to hold joint training, sporting events, sports exchanges of coaches and specialists, meetings, and sessions of the joint working group.
The Roscongress Foundation manages the events of Russia’s BRICS Chairship.
