The International Municipal BRICS Forum took place on 27–29 August 2024.
The programme included more than 70 events, including panel discussions, round tables, and special thematic sessions. The main part of the agenda was dedicated to issues of international cooperation between cities, economic ties, and parliamentary diplomacy at the municipal level. Individual thematic blocks covered key aspects of municipal governance, integrated territorial development, social issues, sustainable development, digitalization, healthcare, and the development of urban infrastructure, transport, education and science, culture, and tourism.
The event was attended by more than 2,300 entrepreneurs. Over 300 agreements were signed at the event, including on the development of partnerships between Moscow and major cities in the BRICS countries.
The Roscongress Foundation is the official operator of events held as part of the Russian Federation’s Chairship of BRICS.
